LASG Should Establish Water Scheme In Eti-Osa - Erelu Ajiran
The Erelu of AJiranland in Eti-Osa Local Government Area of Lagos state, Alhaja Atinuke Bakare has enjoined the State Government to establish a water corporation scheme in the area.
She made this known while speaking during a courtesy visit to the Ajiran country home.
Erelu of Ajiran expressed dismay over the inability of the area to have a functional water scheme that would provide hygienic water for the people.
In her words, she revealed that the people of Eti-Osa had spent several millions annually to get hygienic water from the mainland, pointing out that since Lagos State was created in 1976, Eti-Osa has not benefited from the operation of the water corporation
He commended Governor Babajide Sanwolu for his developmental strides in the state, more importantly the reconstruction of the Epe-Ajah expressway, adding that the state government has also resurfaced and rehabilitated the Ajah-Lekki expressway that was constructed by the administration of Late Jakande.
She appealed to the Governor to extend rehabilitation works to access road leading to Ajiran as the road has been submerged with water.
He enjoined the state government to reconstruct the road with drainage, solar street light so that the people in the area could benefit from government presence.
She reaffirmed the support of the people of Ajiran for the APC led government in the state, maintaining that the people would continue to support government initiatives and also cast their votes for APC during coming elections.
Erelu Ajiran also spoke on the 80th birthday anniversary of Alhaji Bakare, describing him as Allah's servant who was used to help the needy and also elevate the status of Eti-Osa.
She hinted that he took delight in supporting the work of Allah by constructing several mosques and giving scholarship to the children of the needy, medical bills of the under privileged were also paid to make life more meaningful to the people.
Erelu Ajiran enjoined all other well meaning personalities in Nigeria to take a cue from the philanthropic gesture of Alhaji Bakare for complementing government's efforts in grassroots development.
While rejoicing with him on his 80th birthday anniversary, she prayed that he would continue to excel in all human endeavor.
